Security Assertion Markup Language is a industry open standard for helping end-users Single Sign-on from their login system, labeled the 'Identity Provider' over to a 3rd party application, labeled the 'Service Provider'.

The user’s password or login credentials are never sent to the applciation, instead the Identity Provder makes an ‘assertion’ that the user is actually who they say they are.

SAML 2.0 is one of our supported Single Sign-on protocols.
